IHS national comps Melbourne & what an amazing event!!!

Well it all started at 4.30am when the taxi picked us up & off we went to the airport, before we knew it we were having breakfast at the Sebel in Melbourne.

It was a mind blowing day, such fantastic talent. There were mini salons set up everywhere. The work on the floor was crazy. Such a big day

After a quick snooze we were off to the big dinner where the state winners of the face of IHS were anounced.

Loved St Kilda we did a bit of shopping & of course a visit to Luna Park.

Then it was back to Sydney. A very civilised weekend.

ITS A POB!!!!

Before:A lovely Hair cut and colour, but Rhonda wants Posh (Spice) Beckham's do...The Pob

Section the hair from below the crown to the top of the ear. Establish the length guide at the nape and take horizontal sections to the top of section 1.

Take a centre vertical section from below crown to nape
90° projection, perpendicular distrubition cut a uniform layer at 10cm. Using the mobile guide continue Uniform layer using vertical sections to the ear. Dry section 1.

Section a 1cm vertical mesh from the crown to the base of sect 2. Project at 90 from base of section and cut at 15cm. Using the stationary guide continue taking 1cm vertical sections and using shifted distribution comb each mesh to stationary guide and cut. Last section on each side at the front hair line. Blow dry sect 2.

NSW IHS State Awards 8th July

Awesome!!! The NSW competitors produced some amazing work.
Loved the Oceanic Masters Conversion (see the IHS link below for more details). Shannon was a floor judge and was excited to be sporting the red and white badge, a promotion from the all white badge.
Quote of the day was from Karen Hopwood, hair and make-up artist to the stars (see link below) and point judge on the day. When asked what she'd been doing, she replied,
" Living the dream"
Next competitions will be in Port Macquarie on the 5th of August. Then count down to the big one.........IHS National Awards in Melbourne 26th August.

Canberra IHS State Comps 1st July

C-C-C-Canberra was C-C-C-Cool.

Great comps held at TAFE in Canberra. The junior competitors strutted their stuff with a large variety of looks on the models. Shannon was floor judge, Brian points judge, Louise was Papparazzi and Trophy girl, and Sherelle drank tea and hung out with Peta on registration.

Apart from "A simple Life" moment, powdering our nose at a truck stop (very Paris & Nicole), it was a fab day!

Newcastle Comps 27th May

Donna decided she needed a haircut-Thank goodness for The Sydney Morning Herald which we used as a cape-
Anyway it was Donna's & Shannon's first experience in floor judging for this competition...While Sherelle was frolicking around being camera and trophie girl.
Sherelle's favourite was The collections: 3 models in a themed presentation including total look & music.

Road Trip - Tamworth & Port Macquarie IHS Mini Comps 6th & 7th May

It was the kind of road trip where you catch a plane instead...We flew to Tamworth. Shannon was checked for explosives at Sydney Airport! All the Taxi's in Tamworth
had guitars and musical notes on them and of course we visited the Golden Guitar.
Brian drove us to Port Macquarie, along with Loretta and Warren. Two words "motion Sickness". We stayed at Sails Resort and the comps were great! Loved the Ladies Catwalk. After a McDonalds breakfast and the fog lifted, we flew
home to Sydney and back to work.

In The Beginning

Attended a conference at stadium Australia, we learnt all about new technologies. Blogs, Wiki's all a foreign language at firsts. But it all came together eventually. We created our own Blog. We were so excited that we could blue-tooth our photo straight onto our blog. now we think everyone should have one.We have become Blog addicts!!
